The Diary Studies cover a period of many years and were made often rapidly in different locations, sometimes to work out an idea, sometimes semiconsciously. Confidential written information will have been occasionally edited.
These drawings were made conceptually and without reference to an external source. Above all, they preserve a sense of freedom to explore diverse subjects, shapes, forms, and tones from formal elements to those of fantasy.
